What To Expect (HPC)
What Happens During the Session:
Practitioners insert a lubricated (water-based), gloved digit intravaginally and do an in-depth assessment of the entire pelvic floor. Clients will then be lead through and educated about their pelvic bowl and given explanations for what they are experiencing—be that pain, numbness, nothing, pressure, etc. This is the client’s time to really get acquainted with her body and what she is experiencing. Throughout this time, I will be manipulating fascia, massaging muscles, guiding the client through visualizations, and performing energetic work. The session will end with another assessment, very much like the one we began it with.
What to Expect Afterwards:
Even during the session, but especially after, one can expect to have an emotional release. One might go through an array of emotions: sad, enraged, upset, betrayed, etc. My recommendation is to let them happen and come through, it is important to process whatever one’s body might be experiencing. There could also be some pain and soreness, bleeding, change in gait, etc.
Please feel free to call if you ever feel concerned or have any questions regarding some of the changes your body might be going through during its healing.
